    1. Yep. Some film is known for it’s grain, and some is known for the lack of it. Usually the faster the film, the grainier it looks.

      This is Eastman Double-X (5222), a mid-speed ISO 250 motion picture film, which can also be used as 35mm still camera film. Photographers have been using it more and more in recent years because you can buy a 1,000-foot can of it at a really good price.

      A 1,000-foot can yields 186 rolls of 36-exposure film, which ends up costing $3.76 per roll. So yeah, it makes sense to buy this film, even though the results can be grainy.
