The front side of the Grand Tetons is one of the best known and most photographed landscapes of the American West. However, the back side is just as beautiful and has far less tourism associated with it. This is the view I was accustomed to seeing when I was growing up in eastern Idaho, whenever we would drive north of town the Tetons would appear in all their glory in the distance from behind a nearby foothill.
