We decided to visit Newfoundland, Canada, by car back in 1992. Cindy was at a business conference up in Boston, so I drove to where she was staying, picked her up, then we continued onto Nova Scotia. From there, we took the ferry across to Newfoundland and spent a week exploring the island. This was taken within the L’Anse aux Meadows National Historic Site, at the upper tip of Newfoundland, and is reputed to be one of the earliest European settlements in North America.
