Daylilies are now blooming here. The spiky-looking tiger lilies bloomed about a month ago, but the time has come for the softer-looking daylilies to have their day in the sun, and what a glorious display they produce. There are some places around us where the daylilies are so thick that nothing else can be seen at ground level – just a small ocean of gorgeous color. This particular patch is under a thick forest canopy that was on my daily commute to work.
