Whenever I think of the American West, it’s usually in terms of vast panoramas, huge skies, and magnificent views. For me, the immense impact of nature out there reminds me of just what a tiny mote I am to the rest of the planet – far more than any other abstract concept or idea. Just one more reason for me to get myself back out there permanently, as soon as I can.
